A good day at work Cycling, Thoughts, Wine, Work
|
Had a little trouble getting up this morning. I think I was still trying to catch up on the sleep I missed yesterday, when I got up at 2:30 AM.
But after managing to get out of bed, eat breakfast, brush my teeth etc. I made it to work without any hassles.
And except for an excessively slow computer, that froze up twice today, things went pretty well.
I easily finished all my routine job functions, we received our new AS9100 certificate (GE had been bugging us about that), I received a shipment of wine from one of the numerous wine clubs I belong to and I got a good, hard bike ride in at work on the computrainer.
So my day is complete. I guess it’s time to go home now.

Had a great wine tonight! Thoughts, Wine
|
Well it wasn’t really great, except when you consider the price.
It was a 2005 Pepperwood Grove Pinot Noir from Chile. Edie got it for free, but you can get it at Trader Joe’s for around $7.
While it wasn’t complex, by any stretch of the imagination, it was fruity, without being overwhelming, and as an everyday wine, especially for the price, it is perfect.
I’ve heard it said that Chile is an up and coming wine region, with identical growing conditions as that of California’s wine regions.
I think we can expect a lot from Chile, in the future, as they mature in their wine making abilities.
