Two bad days in a row Anxietys, Thoughts
|
Here it is 4:30 in the morning (I actually started this post around 3:30 AM), and I just can’t sleep any more. I’ve got way too many things on my mind.
On top of the fact I didn’t ride my bike yesterday, which always causes me consternation, yesterdays economic news, and stock market down turn was almost too much to bear.
The unemployment rate had it’s biggest increase in 22 years, jumping to 5.5%, as oil prices (and consequently gasoline prices), and food prices continue to spiral out of control. [It costs me $25 a day to drive to work now.]
All this, while we continue to divert BILLIONS of dollars every month, money which would be better spent improving the plight of the American people, to fighting an ill conceived war in Iraq.
And what does George Bush have to offer us yesterday? Nothing! Just more of the same, and of course his continued one track focus on making his tax cuts permanent. Well I got news for you George, if you don’t have a job, tax cuts don’t do you much good.
Not only that, but then I have to listen to the clown the republicans have trotted out as their presumptive nominee [John McCain], the true elitist in the crowd, who related his campaign come back, to the plight of the people in Youngstown, OH, continue to promote the same failed policies of George Bush.
And on top of all that, the Israeli transport minister announces
Attacking Iran, in order to stop its nuclear plans, will be unavoidable
Ok, that’s it. No more days off from riding my bike any more.
